01-07-2011 So it finally happened.... Dungillie Pipe Band's first CD is out. Tthe Bands debut album titled "Take 1" just came from the press. It is a dream come through for the Band to release this cd, and here shortly before christmas it happened. We have often at gigs been asked if we had any cd's to sell and now we have. Anybody interested can hear extracts and buy one or more cd's here 05-24-2010 Again this year Dungillie Pipe Band was in the Prize list at this years Scandinavian Championsships. Saturday was as always the Band competitions. Here the Band gained a 3rd in Open Medley a 5th in the Gr. 4 March comp and a 5th in the Open MSR comp. The Drummers were again all over the place with a 3rd an two 2nd only beaten by the Gr. 2 Drum Corps from Heather Pipes and Drums. The Drum Major competition was also held Saturday, and here Tommy Clarke Nielsen regained his Scandinavian Title with Lars Foldager in hot pursuit in 2nd. Sunday was solo time and here again The "Gillies" were in the pricelists. Thorbjørn Bechsgaard is now the current Scandinavian Champion in March beginners Drumming. Tommy Clarke Nielsen gained a 1st. in Hornpipe/Jig Open and a 2nd in 6/8 Open and finally a 4th in MSR Open Drumming. The only Pipers from the Band competing was PM Lars Foldager and Mogens Bechsgaard they just missed the price list but made some good impressions. 02-25-2010 This weekend it again was time for the annual Copenhagen Winter Competition. Saturday is as always the day of solo competitions. LD Claus Olsen almost swept the board as he gained two 1st. in MSR og 6/8 March and a 2nd in Hornpipe/Jig all in the Open Competition The other Drummers wanted to be in on the action as well so Thorbjørn Bechagaard got a 2nd. in March Beginners and Tommy Nielsen who also participated in the Open Competition gained a 2nd. in 6/8 March and got 4th.ini MSR and H/J. The Pipers were also on the podium as Mogens Bechsgaard gained 3rd. in Slow Air Beginners, and Jonas Hansen captured a 2nd. in 2/4 March competition type intermediate. Sunday was time for Quintets and the Quintet with Lars Foldager and the Boys gained 2nd. and Thomas' Quintet gained 4th. in grade 4 Quintet. So all in all yet another nice weekend of competing for Dungillie Pipe band.
11-08-2009 The Scottish Piping Society of London held their famous Bratach Gorm Competition on Saturday the 7th. of November. Here Pipe Major Lars Foldager participated in the CLASP-competition wich is for amateurs. He resched the podium with a 3rd in both March and the Strathspey competition in the Grade 2 event And in the grade 3 event he gained 2nd. in the Piobaireachd competition. Congratulations to Lars for those fine results.. 05-22-2009 Today the Danish Championships for gr. 4 Bands where held at Kings Garden in Copenhagen. Dungillie Pipe Band repeatet last years succes and became Danish Champions again, and this year the drummer wanted in on it as well, so they became best drumcorps as well.. Dungillie Pipe Band won The March competition and came 2nd. In the Medley and thus winning the Danish Championship. And as they where at it Dungillie Pipe Band also won the special event both Piping and Drumming. This year the special event was 6/8 March .
